I love everything about home building – or at least I thought I did until I started learning the truth about American homes. Energy is wasted through air infiltration, there is mold hiding behind the bathroom tile, and air quality is causing health issues that nobody wants to admit. These are just a few of the factors that have driven me to build my own home that outlasts and outperforms nearly every home on the market.
What Information Do I Share on the Blog?
I’ve done countless hours of building science research, and continue to learn more every single week. I will share my learnings, inspiration and reasoning behind the building decisions I am making. Keep coming back for new pictures, videos and posts about my energy-efficient, functional home.
Who Inspires Me?
Much of what I have learned can be credited to Matt Risinger and Joseph Lstiburek. Risinger has been a builder for over 20 years, and has an awesome vlog, called The Build Show. Lstiburek is widely-known expert on building moisture control and indoor air quality. I respect the strides they are making toward healthier homes.
